LOCATION
The IMTI located at
Thuvakudi village situated at a distance of 20 km. from Tiruchirappalli
Railway Junction on Tiruchirappalli- Thanjavur National Highway
(NH 67); Tiruchirappalli, the District head quarters, is at the
centre of Tamilnadu. It is well connected by road, rail and air
with the rest of the country.
An Action Research
Programme (ARP) Unit of the Institute is functioning at Tiruvarur,which
is at a distance of 100 km from Thuvakudi .The unit is located in
tail end area of Cauvery Delta where, about 50 per cent of the irrigated
area of the State lies..
